I know that this topic I have already spoken at other times on the blog (but not meeting the entry) and no lesson.
As I told before, I am closing a new version of the store running on magenta. These past few weeks, with the change in hosting, I have made good progress this matter. I already have a store in Magenta in Castilian, with Iva, payment methods, shipping parameterized, with a product that I like. And each time being is better. On the one hand, the new hosting, Magenta speed has increased and this is quite grateful. In addition I am going slowly understanding the peculiarities of this new software.
And I want to get the new version this weekend. To do this, I have resigned himself to be an issue, leaving the issue with modern (if somewhat patched it) anyway, I like it. And almost sleep last night. Had made several test loads of items in bulk to the store returns from files and everything worked. So last night, he left the closed section of PCs and HTPCs (by the way, and news announcement here at the two ends, at low end and high end) and when upload the file to Magenta ... what is beginning to return errors.
Luckily, the module import is clear. And then find the error. It turns out that he had been working all the time on the OpenOffice Calc 3.0, but had played a part in a PC that did not have the OpenOffice, but the Excel, and apparently had not spent anything. No nothing had happened, except that Excel had changed the format of the text file that was sent to magenta. Instead of separating the fields with commas, he had done with tabs. To record it once with the Excel because it was no longer the case. To open it with OpenOffice, he had assumed that the file was well and had so mantendio. But magenta expected commas.
None conversion, and to re-upload to the host. The import ends well and it seems that this is already underway. I open the shop and there is no article. I come to the part of administration and there are all the articles ... I do not understand anything. Borro and again to import, same result. In the end, I discover that there is a field that indicates where an article is visible in the store. That field is a description. There was updated to version 1.17 of magenta and had returned to load the translation ... and it turns out that this area had an accent. The Excel had not used either the UTF8 ... and Magenta did not understand what he was receiving ... so that the literal was not exactly the same as I expected ... then did not show the articles. And it was another incident with a date ... to end at three in the morning, I managed to import the items either.
With what this is progressing, and we still have problems with a plain text file miserable 50 kas .... I think there are times that we are going to the back.
