European investment in growing online advertising

The study “ European Online Advertising Forecast, 2006 to 2011 ” (Prediction of the online advertising in Europe, 2006-2011) developed by Jupiter Research shows that investment in the search engine marketing < > is growing and that Europeans are increasingly opting for buy online .
The projections estimate that in 2011
is the Internet channel development you receive the highest number of investments, nearly 83 billion euros, meaning 8.3% of total expenses of the < > Advertising in Europe.
The
Search Engine Marketing (SEM) is the most important part of this growth, rising from 41% of all investment in the online promotion in 2005 to 49% in 2011.
In addition, new advertisers are entering the online market, following the attitude of consumers. Internet as a channel for promotion, has grown from 46% in 2004 to 49% in 2005 and reach 58% in 2011 .

, although the situation is changing. A recent study “ E-commerce Forecats ” (estimate of e-commerce) developed by Forrest Reaserch reveals that online sales are quickly growing in Italy and Spain. From 2006 until 2011, it is estimated that online sales in these two countries will grow by 31% and 27% respectively. The rate of growth is very high compared to the UK which is estimated to be 12% per annum over the same period.
